Public libraries across the US will receive free solar-eclipse glasses and information packets, but they'll need help from local astronomers to make the best use of them.

Proposals are now being accepted by the National Optical Astronomy Observatory for observing time from August 2017 through January 2018 at various facilities. The deadline for proposals is 31 March.

The Infrared Telescope Facility is a 3-meter telescope optimized for infrared observations and located atop Mauna Kea, Hawai'i. Proposals for observations beginning in August 2017 are due by 3 April.

Nominations for the 2018 Breakthrough Prizes in Fundamental Physics, Life Sciences, and Mathematics can be submitted online through 31 May 2017.

Most AAS members receive the magazine Physics Today as a membership benefit. The latest issue is now en route to subscribers' mailboxes and can be accessed online.

The Women in Astronomy IV conference, "The Many Faces of Women Astronomers," will take place 9-11 June 2017 following the AAS summer meeting in Austin, Texas.

Civically engaged scientists have developed a plan for a march in support of science on Saturday, 22 April (Earth Day). The AAS is ready to help support our members who plan to participate.

We honor the memory of our departed colleagues. The Historical Astronomy Division commissions and compiles obituaries for deceased AAS members and depends on you, our members, for help writing them.

For their commitment and service to the Society, we annually acknowledge and thank our members reaching their 25th, 30th, 35th, etc. anniversaries. Please let us know if your name is missing from this year's list.
