Rodger Doxsey Travel Prize

The Rodger Doxsey Travel Prize provides graduate students or postdocs within one year of receiving or receipt of their PhD a monetary prize to enable the oral presentation of their dissertation research at a winter meeting of the AAS. Awardees receive a small travel stipend and a waiver of their registration fee or, in the case of honorable mention, a waiver of their registration fee only.

Before completing this form you should have already submitted your dissertation abstract for the upcoming January AAS meeting and indicated that you want it judged in the Doxsey prize competition.

Child/Dependent Care Grants

The financial burden of child and adult dependent care affects the Society’s members. The impact can be so great that it often prevents attendance at meetings, especially for early career scientists or those at small institutions with limited funding. The AAS and its Divisions are committed to helping members with dependents attend meetings; therefore, members may apply for subsidized dependent care services during a meeting, for use either at the meeting location or at home. The application is closed.

Kiddie Corp

KiddieCorp is pleased to provide a children’s program during the 2023 winter meeting. KiddieCorp is in its thirty-seventh year of providing high-quality children’s programs and youth services to conventions, trade shows, and special events. We take caring for your children very seriously. KiddieCorp has enjoyed a long-time partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics, which has helped to establish KiddieCorp as a premier provider of event children’s program services. Advance registration deadline: 12 December
