Town Hall submission is closed.

Town Halls are intended for federal agencies, national observatories, and major current and future missions and facilities to present policy information and to solicit feedback from their user communities. Hybrid or virtual participation may be proposed for Town Halls and must be approved by the Committee on Meetings, and it must be managed by the proposers who must purchase an internet streaming package. Current or future missions and facilities that wish to focus on scientific capabilities and results should select one of the other session categories to propose to (Special Sessions, Splinter Meetings, or Workshops), or plan on hosting events as Exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall.


Town Hall Proposal Deadlines

  • 3 March: Town Hall proposal deadline
  • 19 March: Acceptance letters sent out - DELAYED
  • 10 April: Final session descriptions and titles due. Sessions titles and descriptions are posted in the online general schedule and published in the Meeting Program. If your proposal text needs to be updated to be publication-ready, do so by this date.
  • 17 April: Catering request due. If your session requires food and beverage or any additional A/V equipment other than what is provided, please send that request to us by this date.
  • 7 May: Session cancellation. If you no longer wish to hold a session, please notify the meetings team of your cancellation by this date.
