Special Session submission is closed.

Special Sessions are open sessions intended for observatories, missions, facilities, and major projects to present and discuss scientific results and plans. Special Sessions can also be used for discussion of education, history, community, and state-of-the-profession topics. There is no mandated format, and Special Sessions may feature multiple speakers, a panel discussion, or other presentation formats. Contributed talks are listed in the main conference program. Special Sessions are run just like normal oral sessions and hence hybrid or virtual participation is currently not permitted for Special Sessions.

Special Session Deadlines

• 3 March: Special Session proposal deadline 
• 19 March: Acceptance letters sent out
• 10 April: Final session descriptions due. Sessions titles and descriptions are posted in the online general schedule and published in the Meeting Program. If your proposal text needs to be updated to be publication-ready, do so by this date.
• 22 April: (Conditional) Contributed abstracts accepted/rejected
• 7 May: Session building deadline
• 7 May: Invited speaker abstract submission deadline
• 7 May: Session cancellation deadline
