The American Academy of Arts & Sciences, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has announced the election of 269 new members, including four AAS members.

AAS member Richard Ellis will receive the 2023 Gruber Cosmology Prize for his pioneering work both studying galactic evolution and designing innovative instruments with which to do so.

The Astronomical Society of the Pacific is accepting nominations for its 2023 awards, recognizing achievements in astronomy research, technology, education, and public outreach. Deadline: 15 March.

TEAM-UP Together is pleased to announce its first cohort of scholars, 31 African American students who will each receive $10,000 for the 2022-23 academic year.

Nominations for the Gruber Foundation Cosmology Prize are invited annually from the fields of astronomy, cosmology, mathematics, and the philosophy of science. Deadline: 15 December 2022.

Applications for the 2022 Brown Award are now being accepted from recent PhD recipients whose thesis is based on radio data from any facility operated by Associated Universities, Inc. Deadline: 31 December.
