ComSciCon 2022 Flagship Workshop Invites Applications

Attention graduate students: Applications for the 10th annual ComSciCon Flagship Workshop (hashtag #ComSciCon22), to be held 4–6 August 2022 in Cambridge, MA, are open!
ComSciCon provides graduate student attendees with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to meet early career leaders in science communication, to learn from and interact with a remarkable group of invited experts, and to produce an original work communicating complex technical science and engineering concepts to a new audience.
We are excited that ComSciCon is scheduled to be held in person in Cambridge, MA, though this will remain dependent on changing COVID policy. Necessary precautions will be taken to keep everyone safe.
Application, registration, and attendance at the workshop is free of charge. Full or partial travel support will be provided to accepted applicants from the US or Canada who would need to travel to the Cambridge area, and housing near the conference venue will be provided. Successful applicants are required to attend the entire 3-day workshop and to submit a science communication piece (article, video, comic, etc.) prior to the event.
Attendance at ComSciCon is limited to current or recent graduate students in residence at US or Canadian institutions. International students who study at US and Canadian institutions are gladly welcomed. We, unfortunately, cannot accept students traveling to this event from outside the US or Canada. Recent graduates must have graduated no earlier than December 2021.
We encourage women, BIPOC, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQIA+ communities, and all other people with any intersection of minoritized and/or marginalized identities to apply. ComSciCon is committed to diversity and equity, and encourages all people to apply to the conference!
