Will We See You in Austin for the AAS Summer Meeting?

Things Austin, Texas, is known for: South by Southwest Festivals, Austin City Limits, and as of June 2017, the 230th meeting of the American Astronomical Society. The AAS summer meeting is headed to Austin 4-8 June and you don't want to miss it!

In addition to the always-stellar plenary speakers, sessions, and events, this year’s summer meeting will include some very exciting Meetings-in-a-Meeting (MiM) and Special Sessions. The Laboratory Astrophysics Division (LAD) will host a MiM on “Bridging Laboratory and Astrophysics” that will include both oral and poster sessions ranging from ices in the solar system to plasmas in active galactic nuclei. Are you eagerly awaiting the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST)? Feed your anticipation by attending another MiM that will focus on the projects that already have guaranteed time on JWST. A Special Session on astrostatistics is also planned for the summer meeting. It will explore the intersection of observational astronomy, statistics, and data science with invited lectures and contributed posters.

So, will we see you in Austin?
