Rules and Regulations

The LISA Symposium takes place at the Westin Chicago River North Hotel, 320 North Dearborn Street, in Chicago, Illinois. The hotel phone number is 1-312-744-1900. The meeting space, registration and social events are located on Level 2 of the hotel and is accessible by elevator or escalators from the lobby.


Location: Grand Court, River Level 2

All participants must register for the meeting. Badges must be worn while in scientific sessions, at the opening reception, and the closing banquet.

  • Wednesday, 11 July, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm
  • Thursday, 12 July, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Friday, 13 July 8:30 am – 12 noon

Social Events

Registration is required to participate in these events.

Opening Reception
Sunday, 8 July, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Location: Grand Court, River Level 2
Please wear your badge.

Closing Banquet
Thursday, 12 July, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Location: Astor Ballroom, River Level 1
Please wear your badge.

Refreshment Breaks
Location: Promenade Ballroom with Posters and Grand Court
Refreshments will be provided during the sessions each day.
Please check the program schedule for break times.

Speaker Ready Area

Location: Grand Ballroom, River Level 2

Those giving an oral presentation (especially Monday presenters) should bring their slides to the Speaker Ready area on Sunday, 8 July between the hours of 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Others must load their slides at least 24-hours in advance of their presentations.

Poster Sessions

Location: Promenade Ballroom Room, River Level 2

Each presenter will receive a 4’ x 4’ area to display their poster. Poster presentation numbers (for example 100.01, 100.2, 200.01 etc.) will be affix to the boards to help you locate your poster board. Please do not move poster boards or put your display on a board that is assigned to another participant. Check with AAS staff at the registration desk if there is a problem.

Posters should go up on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning before 10:00 am and remain up until Friday after the break. Refreshment breaks will take place in the poster session room.

Poster Setup

  • Sunday, 8 July, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Monday, 9 July, 8:00 am –10:00 am

Poster Removal

  • Friday, 13 July at 3:50 pm

Posters must be removed at the end of the break.
