Paid Subscriptions 2025
All articles in the AAS journal portfolio are immediately open for anyone to freely read. The transition to open access affected the Astronomical Journal (AJ), the Astrophysical Journal (ApJ), Astrophysical Journal Letters (ApJL), and the Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series (ApJS). The Planetary Science Journal was already fully open access. Learn more.

Are you an AAS member and want to subscribe to Sky & Telescope? You can add a subscription to your membership under the “Pay My Dues” section of the member website. Or send your subscription request to the Membership Team at [email protected].
Current member subscribers can check subscription expiration dates using last name + email on file or account number referenced on your print magazine.
Sustaining subscriptions are a way to support Sky & Telescope and receive a tax deduction. Sustaining subscribers will also receive exclusive communications from the editor in chief throughout the year and be invited to special events at conferences and star parties. The additional funds will be used to enhance the magazine and help to ensure its long-term success.
