Sign Up for Contacts from the AAS Press List

This form is for public information officers (PIOs) on the AAS Press List who wish to receive contact information for other science writers on the list for the purpose of adding them to your own distribution lists. This is in response to numerous requests from both journalists and PIOs following our announcement on 23 October 2020 that the AAS press-release-forwarding service would end on 4 December 2020.

If you fill out this form, you will not receive a copy of the entire AAS Press List; instead, you'll receive the information collected via our companion form from science writers who have explicitly asked to have their contact info shared with PIOs so that they can get onto as many PIOs' distribution lists as possible.

It remains entirely up to you whether or not to add any particular individual to your distribution lists, including lists to which you distribute embargoed releases. The info we send you will indicate which science writers are requesting access to embargoed releases, as well as their agreement to respect publication embargoes, but if you wish to reach out to them individually to secure their agreement in some other, perhaps more robust way, that's your prerogative.

The original deadline to submit this form was 4 December 2020, but if you're on the AAS Press List you're welcome to fill it out even though that deadline has passed. We will send you additional contacts from time to time.

Please include your country's international dialing code, e.g., +1 for the USA, +49 for Germany, +81 for Japan.
