Sign Up to Receive Press Releases by Email

This form is for subscribers to the AAS Press List who wish to receive astronomy-related press releases directly from universities, observatories, government agencies, journal publishers, and other scientific societies following suspension of the AAS press-release-forwarding service on 4 December 2020 (see our press release of 23 October 2020).

The information you provide here will be shared only with public-information officers (PIOs) who request it and who have been sending their astronomy-related press releases to the AAS for forwarding to the AAS Press List. It remains entirely up to the PIOs whether or not to add any particular individual to their distribution lists, including lists to which they distribute embargoed releases, which are generally sent only to professional journalists who agree in writing to honor publication embargoes.

The original deadline to submit this form was 4 December 2020, but if you're on the AAS Press List you're welcome to fill it out even though that deadline has passed. We will send additional contacts to PIOs from time to time.

If you are a freelance science writer, please enter "Freelance" here.
Provide the URL or other reference to one of your recent astronomy-related pieces.
Enter the email address where you wish to receive press releases.
Please include your country's international dialing code, e.g., +1 for the USA, +49 for Germany, +81 for Japan.
Provide the URL or other reference to one of your recent astronomy-related pieces.

Submitting this form to the AAS confirms your consent to share your contact information with public-information officers (PIOs) who request it for the purpose of adding you to their press-release distribution lists.
