International Travel Grant Application


AAS International Travel Grants, funded by the National Science Foundation, provide funding for airline travel to international science meetings. This funding is available only to individuals at US institutions, who need not be AAS members. Use this form to apply. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

Graduate students: You will need to upload a letter of recommendation from your advisor. If you don't have one yet, please ask your advisor for one, then return to this page to fill out this form.

Upcoming Deadlines

  • 1 May for travel to any international conference (except for the IAU General Assembly) between 1 June and 1 November of that year.
  • 1 September for travel to any international conference held between 1 November of that year and 1 June of the following year.
