NASA Requesting Comments on New Frontiers 4 AO

NASA has released a draft Announcement of Opportunity (AO) for the New Frontiers planetary exploration program’s next set of missions and is soliciting community feedback. The New Frontiers program is composed of medium-class spacecraft missions for focused scientific investigations that have been determined by the community to be a high priority. Current missions in this program include New Horizons, Juno, and OSIRIS-REx. The most recent National Academies decadal survey, Vision and Voyages for Planetary Science in the Decade 2013-2022, recommended that NASA select two New Frontiers missions in the decade and the current AO, New Frontiers 4, is for the first of those two.
