Scam Warning: AAS Will Never Ask You to Call Us Regarding Our Conferences

The AAS has become aware of a sophisticated phone-based scam luring our members to call a phone number regarding our upcoming 243rd meeting in New Orleans.
The AAS will NEVER phone you regarding our conference and we will NEVER ask you to call us back regarding the meeting or conference. If you receive a phone call asking for a call back or to have a conversation regarding our conferences, please let us know by email, and if you have a recording of the message forward it to us.
Be highly cautious and skeptical regarding any requests you receive asking for details or a conversation regarding our meetings. We will never call you regarding the meeting, your meeting registration, or your lodging situation, and anyone who does is not authorized to do so by the AAS.
