AAS Volunteer Opportunity: Service to the Profession

The AAS Doxsey Travel Prize Committee is seeking two new members to serve for a three-year term beginning in the 2022–2023 year. Candidates must be AAS members, have completed their doctorate at least two years ago, and be willing to evaluate ~100 dissertation talk abstracts in November each year. We have a small number of virtual meetings to organize and pick Travel Prize award winners. Candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups or in the early stages of their careers are especially encouraged to apply. Interested individuals should contact Tim Lawlor or Jennifer Bartlett.
