Global Sky Partners LogoLas Cumbres Observatory (LCO) is delighted to announce that the 2021 call for Global Sky Partners is open. We are looking for applications from people offering structured educational programs using robotic telescopes. We are particularly interested in programs that make innovative use of LCO's robotic telescope network and ones that are targeted to serve underrepresented communities or audiences in the developing world who would not normally be able to take part in programs involving professional scientific equipment.

The goal of the Global Sky Partners program is to inspire students, teachers, and the public around the world to engage in scientific endeavors. LCO annually provides over 1,000 hours of observing time on our telescope network to educational organizations. The Global Sky Partners are a diverse group of educators and scientists who run their own fully supported education projects and investigations using our telescopes.

Projects can be for up to 12 months and start on 1 August 2021. Application deadline: 13 June.

For full details please see our Call for Global Sky Partners and the diverse range of projects supported by our current Global Sky Partners.
