IGEN LogoThe Inclusive Graduate Education Network's (IGEN's) Research Hub advances knowledge about equity in graduate education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). It also translates research into resources that support the adoption of more equitable practices for recruiting, admitting, and serving students.

The IGEN Research Hub has developed a new Research Accelerator Grant Program that will award one-year seed grants of up to $5,000 for proposed research that will advance theory and evidence about barriers to the full participation of racially minoritized students in STEM graduate education. We hope that you will consider submitting a proposal, or that you might share this call for proposals with any colleagues you believe might be interested.

The Research Accelerator Grant Program is open to graduate students, faculty, postdoctoral scholars, professional scientists, and disciplinary society staff members who are conducting research on STEM graduate education. Researchers who are interested in participating in the Research Accelerator Grant program may submit a new project idea that advances equity in STEM graduate education or apply to connect with and build upon a current IGEN Research Hub study.

For more information about the Research Accelerator Grant Program application materials or program details please visit our website. The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2021.
