North American Regional Office of Astronomy for Development Survey

The North American Regional Office of Astronomy for Development is conducting a needs assessment of North America as it relates to the use of astronomy for development. You are encouraged to complete the survey by 15 July and to share the link with others who might be interested.

For purposes of this survey, North America is defined as the US and its territories, Canada, Mexico, Greenland, and the island nations of the Caribbean.

The Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD) is an initiative of the International Astronomical Union using the power and excitement of astronomy to promote economic, societal, and human development. The North American Regional Office of Astronomy for Development was officially established on 29 January 2020 at a signing ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa, bringing the vision of the global OAD to North America.
