Astro2020 Focus Session for Early-Career Astronomers

On 8-9 October, in Washington, DC, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will host a focus session under the auspices of the Committee of Astronomy and Astrophysics to engage early-career astronomers and astrophysicists in the decadal survey planning and input process.
At this focus session senior graduate students, postdocs, and early tenure-track and academic equivalents will (1) acquire a thorough understanding of the astronomy and astrophysics decadal survey process and its context, and (2) provide direct input to the Astro2020 survey concerning the structure, process, and content of a decadal survey, the state of the profession, and the future of astronomy and astrophysics.
