Phone Call Campaign Launched for 2018 Membership Renewals

Diane Frendak

Diane Frendak American Astronomical Society (AAS)

Time is running out on your membership in the American Astronomical Society if you haven’t yet renewed for this year. Not only will your membership be suspended and your benefits cut off on Friday, 2 March, but a $10 fee will be assessed for all renewals made after that date.

To help with our final renewal efforts, we have started to make phone calls to members in arrears. If you can’t remember if you’ve already renewed, log in to members.aas.org, click “My Account” in the navigation bar, then scroll to the “Member ID, Class, Status” section in the lower left part of the page. This section will tell you through what date your membership is paid. If it’s 31 December 2017 or earlier, then it’s time to renew. While you’re logged in, you can save a stamp by clicking “Pay My Dues” to renew your membership online.

If online renewal isn’t your thing, I’m happy take your membership and payment information over the phone. I can also field questions about your dues or benefits, or provide assistance on how to log in to our website. Please contact me at [email protected] or 202-328-2010 x109.
