DPS 49 Regular Registration and Late Abstract Deadlines Coming Up!

The AAS Division for Planetary Sciences (DPS) will gather in Provo, Utah, 15-20 October for the 49th DPS meeting. This meeting already has an exciting lineup of speakers and events, so join us for what is sure to be a fantastic week of presentations from all areas of of planetary science.

49th DPS Meeting

Registration
The regular registration deadline for the DPS meeting is Tuesday, 29 August, so register soon to avoid higher late or onsite rates. Find all of the rates and details on the Registration page. Don’t forget to check out the workshops and events taking place during the meeting, too — some require advance registration.

Abstracts
The deadline for late abstract submission is 9:00 pm on Thursday, 31 August. Everything you need to know to submit your poster abstract is available on the Abstract Information page. If you’re printing a poster, Provo Fedex is offering discounted rates for meeting attendees and will deliver posters to the convention center. Download the poster order form to take advantage of this offer.

Lodging
The AAS has a block of rooms at the Provo Marriott available for meeting attendees. Hotel reservations must be made by 20 September to ensure the group rate. Take a look at the Travel & Lodging page for more information.

Dependent Care Grants
The DPS Susan Niebur Professional Development Fund provides financial assistance to qualifying members in order to facilitate their meeting attendance by offsetting costs for dependent care at the meeting location or at home during the DPS meeting. Dependent Care Grant applications are due 15 September.

Workshops
If you’re interested in hosting a workshop during the DPS meeting, be sure to submit your proposal by 28 August.
