Attend the 48th SPD Meeting in Portland

The AAS Solar Physics Division (SPD) will gather in Portland, Oregon, 21-25 August for its 48th annual meeting. Attendees will also have the chance to travel to the path of totality for the 21 August solar eclipse, so this is a can't-miss meeting!

Registration
Register today for the 48th SPD meeting! The early deadline is Monday, 24 April, so register soon to save. Find the meeting rates and other details on the SPD Registration page.

Abstracts
Abstract submission for the SPD meeting is now open, as well. Submit your abstract by the 30 May regular abstract deadline to be added to the meeting program. After that deadline, you can still submit a poster abstract until the 20 June late abstract deadline. Learn more on the SPD 48 Abstract Information page.

Lodging
A hotel block has been reserved at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland, but you must register for the SPD meeting before you will be able to reserve a room in the block. Reservations must be made by 19 July to ensure the group rate. Eclipse Viewing
SPD meeting attendees have the opportunity to travel from Portland to the campus of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, for the breathtaking experience of witnessing a total solar eclipse.
