AGU Webinar on Working with the Media

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) Sharing Science program — a program to help scientists "effectively share their work with broader audiences to promote the widespread awareness of Earth and space science and its value" — in conjunction with the AGU Public Information Office, will hold a webinar on Thursday, 23 March, from 2:00–3:00 pm ET on how scientists can effectively share their research with the media.

During the webinar, AGU staff will discuss how communicating with the media is different from communicating with scientists, how to determine if research is newsworthy, how to prepare for interviews, common pitfalls when working with the media, and other topics. There will also be ample time for questions.

You do not need to be an AGU member to participate in this webinar, but advanced registration is required. You can view previous Sharing Science webinars on the AGU website.
