NSF Management Changes

On 13 January, Dr. Fleming Crim will conclude his term as National Science Foundation (NSF) assistant director in charge of the Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS); Dr. Crim will be returning to his faculty position at the University of Wisconsin. MPS contains five divisions: Astronomical Sciences (AST), Chemistry, Materials Research, Mathematical Sciences, and Physics. Dr. James Ulvestad will move from the position of division director of AST to become the acting assistant director for MPS after 13 January. Dr. Ralph Gaume, currently the AST deputy division director, will become the acting division director of AST after 13 January.
