Check Your AAS Membership Status and Renew Online

Diane Frendak

Diane Frendak American Astronomical Society (AAS)

Have you renewed your AAS membership for 2017 yet? If not, now's the time. You can easily renew your membership online to avoid losing the many valuable benefits that come with being an AAS member, such as discounted meeting registration and journal subscriptions.

The first dues mailing will be sent out soon — remember, if you renew online and then receive a membership notice in the mail, there's no need to pay again. The mailing may be printed before your payment is processed.

Can't remember if you've already renewed your membership, or if your two-year renewal expires this year or next? To find your membership status, log in to members.aas.org, click "My Account" in the navigation bar, then scroll to the "Member ID, Class, Status" section in the lower left part of the page. This section will tell you through what date your membership is paid. If it's 31 December 2016 or earlier, then it's time to renew! Click "Pay My Dues" in the navigation bar to renew your membership online. If you"d prefer to renew your membership over the phone, give us a call at 202-328-2010. You can also wait to receive the paper renewal notice if you'd like to pay via mail.

Have questions about your dues or benefits, or need assistance logging into the website? Please contact the AAS Membership team by email or by phone at 202-328-2010. Thank you for being an AAS member!
