LSST Workshop 2016The Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) Project & Community Workshop 2016 will take place in Tucson, Arizona, the week of 15 August. This annual event brings together the LSST technical team with members of our science collaborations and the general community. The Community workshop will begin at 9:00 am on Wednesday morning and continue through lunch on Friday. Sessions of particular interest to community members are listed below, and the full agenda is posted on the LSST webpage. All are welcome to attend and the registration deadline (workshop and hotel) is 22 July. We hope to see you at LSST 2016!

  • Report from a study on the O/IR Resources Needed to Maximize LSST Science
  • LSST Data Management Updates
  • An Update on a Community Study of LSST’s Observing Strategy
  • A Plenary Talk on the Dynamics of Science Collaborations
  • Breakout sessions, including: Event Brokers, End-to-end image simulations for LSST, Deep Drilling Fields, Photometry of blended objects, and Science Collaboration meetings
