Renew Now — Maintain Your Link to Your Professional Society

Diane Frendak

Diane Frendak American Astronomical Society (AAS)

Remain part of the AAS community and continue to work with us to advance the astronomical sciences and your career. Reminders to renew were mailed last month. If you recently mailed a payment or renewed online, thank you! If not, now is the time.

If you renew before 31 December, you will get a one-time 15% discount on your share of the author charges for one paper published next year in an AAS journal, i.e., the Astronomical Journal or the Astrophysical Journal, Letters, or Supplement. Plus you’ll receive all the benefits and services you’ve come to expect with your AAS membership, like deeply reduced meeting registration and access to career development opportunities.

There are several ways to renew. You can go online and log in to pay your dues, to confirm or update your journal subscriptions and Division memberships, and to lock in savings for 2017 by renewing for two years at the current rate — in which case you'll get another 15% discount on your share of author charges in 2017 too. (Note: That last option isn't available to junior members, who instead get two years for the price of one — currently $80 — when first joining the Society, then renew annually thereafter.) If you’d like, we can take your payment information over the phone too. Or simply mail back the renewal form to the AAS Executive Office in Washington, DC.

If you have any questions about your dues or benefits, or need assistance with your renewal, please contact the membership team by email at [email protected] or by phone at 202-328-2010.
