A New Resource: The Advancing Postdoc Women Guidebook

The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) has just released a new report/guidebook called the Advancing Postdoc Women Guidebook. It is the result of an extensive survey, funded by Elsevier, of a variety of institutions and organizations. The report is now available electronically without charge and may be circulated widely.
Chapters include details on how to develop positive, mutually beneficial professional relationships both as a mentee and a mentor; how to prepare for career exploration and preparation; how to find industry, government, and association management jobs; and how to find childcare and dependent-care options to enable postdoc women to attend professional conferences and meetings.
The AAS participated in the survey and is pleased that our input helped result in such a potentially useful document.
