New Mobile App Puts the DPS Meeting Program in Your Pocket!

The 46th annual meeting of the AAS Division for Planetary Sciences (DPS) in Tucson, Arizona, will be the first DPS meeting with our new mobile app. Built on the popular Guidebook platform, “Meetings by AAS” puts the entire conference program in your pocket and ensures that it’s always up to date. If you’re tired of carrying around a bulky program book, you’ll really appreciate having this app on your smartphone or tablet.

Meetings by AAS works on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android devices. Users of Windows Phone and BlackBerry devices can access the app via a Web browser at https://guidebook.com/guide/26449/.

Follow these simple steps to download the app for your iOS or Android device:

  1. On your smartphone or tablet, visit the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and search for Meetings by AAS.
  2. Alternatively, use your QR reader to scan the QR code at right.
  3. Download, install, and open the app.
  4. iOS users: tap the “Download Guides” button; Android users: tap the downward-facing arrow to browse guides. Select the 46th DPS Meeting guide.

Key Features

My Schedule: Create a personalized daily schedule and add reminders to make sure you don’t miss your colleagues’ or students’ presentations.

Attendees: Set up a user account to bring a whole new level of networking to the meeting. Create virtual business cards to share with other attendees or vendors.

Maps: Browse detailed floor plans of our meeting space at the Marriott Starr Pass. Be sure to check out the interactive features — for example, if you tap on the name of the room listed for a session or other event, the app will drop a pin in its exact location on the map!

Social Media: Following the AAS on Facebook and Twitter — and posting your own messages from the meeting — just got a whole lot easier. Tweets with the hashtag #dps46 or #dps14 show up right in the app.

Exhibitors: Browse the list of all exhibitors at the meeting, complete with company descriptions and booth locations. Tap on a location, and the app shows you where it is on a map of the exhibit areas.

If you encounter any issues downloading the app, or if you have specific questions on the features, AAS staff will be available onsite to assist in Tucson.
