Important Information About Your AAS Membership Renewal Notice

Kelly Clark American Astronomical Society (AAS)

If you didn’t renew your AAS membership online before the end of October, you recently received a renewal form and cover letter in the mail. Regrettably, the renewal form contained some printing and typographical errors. Please disregard the header in the upper-right corner. The number in the bottom-right corner is your AAS member identification number.

Note that while it is possible to renew your AAS membership for both 2014 and 2015 (i.e., for two years) at the 2014 rate, journal subscriptions can be renewed for 2014 only (i.e., for one year).

We added Section B to the renewal form to collect demographic information for our member database. This statistical information will enable the Society to improve the service and support we provide to the entire membership.

We apologize for the errors in your renewal notice and for any confusion they may have caused. We have implemented additional internal procedures to ensure that such problems don’t happen again.
