A Message from the Maunakea Observatories

On 20 July 2019 the directors of the Maunakea Observatories posted an open letter to the astronomical community offering our perspective on the Maunakea situation and expressing the sincere hope that our words will encourage greater understanding of the complex circumstances in which we find ourselves.
