NSF Extends Deadline for Responses on Arecibo Observatory

In late October the National Science Foundation (NSF) released a Dear Colleague letter (DCL) requesting community responses on viable concepts for the future continued operation of Arecibo Observatory. NSF has extended the DCL response deadline from 31 December 2015 to 15 January 2016. The deadline extension will, in part, enable a more robust and productive discussion on the future continued operation of Arecibo Observatory during the upcoming meetings of the American Geophysical Union and the American Astronomical Society.
