Statement of Care

Statement of Care - DPS 2023

Registrants must agree to abide by this Statement of Care and Masking Policy during the registration process. This policy will be actively enforced.

I agree to prioritize the health and safety of other meeting attendees and myself. This includes following meeting masking policies and not attending the meeting in person if I am feeling ill and/or am advised to isolate per CDC Guidelines due to a positive COVID test.

Masking Policy

The use of N95, KN95, KF94, or FFP2 masks — or those of equivalent protection — will be required of meeting attendees in indoor DPS venues (unless actively eating or drinking). The DPS will provide appropriate masks for free for any who need them (up to two per attendee). Those not wearing a mask will be turned away from the meeting venue.

Masks are also highly recommended at all indoor DPS events held at off-site locations. Masks are encouraged but not required when near other people outdoors. We strongly encourage attendees to mask during travel to the meeting.

Speakers giving an oral presentation will be allowed to remove their masks during their presentations if they wish, as long as they are reasonably distanced from the audience.

AAS meeting staff will be required to wear appropriate masks, but we cannot mandate mask-wearing for venue support staff.

Vaccines

DPS will not require in-person attendees to demonstrate proof of COVID vaccination.
