History: Established by the Board of Trustees at the April 2024 Board meeting in response to a special session at AAS 243 titled “International Students and Researchers in Astronomy: Issues and a Path Forward” and the recognition of the need for a working group to represent international students and researchers.
Members: Appointed by the Board of Trustees.
Chair: Appointed by the Board of Trustees.
Term: One year, June to June, renewable.
Charge: To support members of the AAS community who are foreign nationals and face unique challenges within the profession or who are US citizens and plan to study or conduct astronomical research abroad.
