Candidate Statement:
I have been fortunate in having a background that's brought me into contact with a very broad segment of astronomers in the US and across the globe. I have worked directly with the communities of large NASA missions (Chandra, Hubble, JWST) and have enjoyed advisory opportunities with ground-based facilities such as NRAO, ALMA, and LSST. As such, I have been privileged to encounter astronomers across a wide range of disciplines and I have come to appreciate and understand diverse priorities. If I am elected to the AAS Nominating Committee, I would like to bring this exposure and balance to the slate, while taking care that the nominees reflect the diversity of our community.
