Renew Online Today: Save a Stamp & Help Reduce the AAS Carbon Footprint

Diane Frendak

Diane Frendak American Astronomical Society (AAS)

The Society emailed members in early September announcing the start of the membership renewal season and more than 500 AAS members and Divisional Affiliates have already committed to 2017. Monday, 26 September, marks the day this year when the AAS membership department pulls data for the first membership renewal mailing. Will your name and snail mail address be on that list?

Both should be if you require a paper invoice — but if not, we encourage you to renew online today for fast, easy self-service that helps reduce the Society’s costs and carbon footprint. You can even save yourself a stamp.

Regardless of renewal method, you’ll want to recommit now to...

  • save more than $200 on your full-week registration for AAS winter and summer meetings
  • secure a one-time 15% discount on your share of the author charges for one paper published in 2017 in an AAS journal, i.e., the Astronomical Journal or the Astrophysical Journal, Letters, or Supplement
  • stay part of your Society’s community of scientists who share a passion for uncovering the mysteries of the universe

Please give us a call at 202-328-2010 if you would like us to take your membership and payment information over the phone, or if you need assistance when logging in. Send your general membership questions and requests for paper invoices to [email protected]. Thank you!
