Education Sessions at AAS 248

Tom Rice

Tom Rice American Astronomical Society (AAS)

On behalf of the AAS Executive Office, I’m looking forward to welcoming you to Pasadena for the 248th AAS meeting! I’ve worked with the AAS Education Committee to compile this schedule of nearly everything focused on astronomy education, outreach, and some adjacent topics at the summer meeting. Feel free to browse the full meeting program here: AAS 248 Block Schedule.

Especially consider joining us for the Reception for Astronomy Educators on Monday night, 15 June, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in Conference Center Room 107. All astronomy educators are welcome; the event will be catered with light snacks and will be a high-quality networking session.

Additionally, if you'd like to engage in (or just witness) local community outreach events in Pasadena, check out the City of Astronomy events calendar. Finally, if you're staying in the area after the conference, consider joining Griffith Observatory on June 20 for an accessible astronomy day

We’re looking forward to seeing you in Pasadena! You may navigate the schedule below by clicking on the following table of contents:

All times are given in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), or UTC – 7 hours.
