Call for Education Committee Members

The AAS Education Committee is pleased to announce that we are seeking new members to join the committee and its subcommittees! We welcome applications to join the Education Committee for a three-year term starting in summer 2026. The Education Committee is charged with oversight of the educational activities of the AAS. The Education Committee’s diverse activities reflect the authentic breadth of astronomy education efforts carried out by AAS members. To support this range of efforts, the Education Committee hosts eight subcommittees: four advisory subcommittees and four project teams. Each member of the Education Committee sits on two of these subcommittees (one advisory, and one project team). In addition to full committee members, we also seek to recruit new affiliates of the Education Committee who would each become members of one subcommittee.

Individuals at any career stage are invited to apply, and non-AAS members may apply as long as they become members if selected. Committee and subcommittee members are expected to support and promote the goals of the committee and to participate in regular Zoom meetings.
