The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) are the Nation’s highest honors for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) mentors. The PAESMEM nomination and application cycle for 2024-2025 is now open.
PAESMEM, established by the White House in 1995, seeks to recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated excellence in mentoring individuals who are underrepresented in STEM education and the workforce. The PAESMEM program is administered by the National Science Foundation on behalf of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
Each individual and organizational PAESMEM awardee receives a $10,000 award, and a commemorative Presidential certificate, and joins a cadre of over 300 PAESMEM alumni. Awardees also receive an all-expense paid trip to a recognition event and awards ceremony, where they can participate in meetings with STEM education, research, and policy leaders.
Please consider nominating an exemplary mentor or applying yourself on the PAESMEM website today. The application deadline is 22 January 2025.
