Register for the Symposium on Telescope Science

Robert Buchheim Society for Astronomical Sciences

Society for Astronomical Sciences logoThe annual Society for Astronomical Sciences (SAS) Symposium on Telescope Science has become one of the premier events for amateur astronomers and for building pro-am collaborations. Amateurs and some professionals make presentations covering a wide range of topics, including imaging basics, photometry, spectroscopy, instrumentation, and more.

The SAS-2022 symposium will be held 2-4 June in Ontario, California. We will meet in-person, and provide a live online webcast for those who can’t attend. Registration is now open.

Meeting details, call for abstracts, and registration information are on the links below:

  • Meeting details and registration for in-person symposium.
  • Meeting details and registration for online symposium participation.

AAS members can register at the SAS member rate ($75); and if you register before 30 March, you will receive the early bird discount (13% off).

We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new enthusiasts of small-telescope astronomical research in real life, after two years of online-only sessions.
