Calling All Dynamic Astronomers: Assemble in Boulder!

Seth Jacobson Michigan State University

50th DDA Annual Meeting

You’re invited to attend the 50th Annual Meeting of the Division on Dynamical Astronomy (DDA), 10-14 June in Boulder, Colorado. The DDA has come a long way since its formation some 50 years ago, when membership just topping 125 and there was a cool $166 in the bank. This year’s meeting will include talks by Brouwer Award recipient James Stone (Princeton) and Rubin Prize winner Gurtina Besla (University of Arizona). Social events such as the banquet and show at the Fiske Planetarium and a public talk at the Upslope Brewery will make the meeting more enjoyable and productive.

It’s not too late to present your science and celebrate celestial mechanics — but keep these fast approaching deadlines in mind:

  • Late abstract submission – 1 May 2019
  • Regular registration – 6 May 2019
  • Late registration – 13 June 2019

Hotel stays in Boulder can be pricey, thus the LOC has arranged a reasonable room rate through the University of Colorado at a brand-new student housing facility, starting at $49.75 a night for a single occupancy room. There are other housing options and we’ve compiled lodging options for those who don’t wish to stay on campus.

We look forward to seeing you in Boulder this June!
