Welcome and Farewell for AAS John N. Bahcall Public Policy Fellows

Thursday, September 7, 2017 - 12:28

The AAS is happy to welcome Ashlee N. Wilkins to the staff as the next John N. Bahcall Public Policy Fellow. Ashlee recently completed her dissertation in exoplanet atmospheres at the University of Maryland, College Park. She has an uncommonly deep background in both policy and inclusivity issues for someone at her career stage. Maryland’s loss is our discipline’s gain! You can learn more about her in her first policy blog post.

We also wish past Bahcall Fellow Heather Bloemhard well as she begins the exciting next chapter in her science policy career as an AAAS Executive Branch Fellow in the Department of Defense’s STEM office. We thank her for her many contributions to the mission of the AAS and will miss her around here.

Please join me in wishing Ashlee and Heather well. I have high expectations for both of them!
