Participate in the World Science Festival via WSF Live

Crystal Tinch American Astronomical Society (AAS)

This announcement is posted on behalf of Yasmin Tayag of the World Science Festival:

In just eight years, the World Science Festival (WSF) has become a can't-miss-it New York City cultural event. This year the festival returns from 27 to 31 May, when hundreds of thousands of people will gather for a five-day celebration of science. Through WSF Live, audiences outside New York can experience the festival in their own communities. WSF organizers would like to invite members of the AAS to participate in this initiative.

WSF Live is a series of independently organized screenings of festival programs, streamed live and hosted by universities, schools, museums, libraries, and science clubs around the world. Our host partners can supplement the screenings with talks from local experts, exhibition tie-ins, educational activities, and more. Plus, through various social-media platforms, WSF Live audiences can join the conversation onstage and backstage at the festival in New York. This year's festival will include programs on cosmology, neuroscience, mathematics, biology, astrophysics, general relativity, and more.

Screening the WSF program is free, and we will help you build your on-site version and provide materials and support to help market your event. If you’re interested in hosting a WSF Live event, please fill out our WSF Live Partner Registration form. For the full schedule of programs, general festival information, or any other questions, please feel free to email us. We look forward to hearing from you.
