Access Shuttle Service

The AAS has arranged for a 44-passenger, wheelchair accessible shuttle bus to transport attendees who require mobility assistance between the convention center and the three meeting hotels. It will make several daily trips each morning and evening but will not operate throughout the day.

Rates published are for single & double occupancy. Extra-person charge(s) will apply for the 3rd and 4th guest over 18 years old sharing the same guestroom. Maximum of 4 adults per double bedded room. There is a 10.250 % per room per night tax and a 4.710 % per room per night secondary tax. A deposit of one night’s room and tax will be required at time of booking. If a cancellation is made within 72 hours of arrival, the one night deposit will be retained as a cancellation. A limited number of rooms for guests with special needs, in accordance with ADA, are available. Please contact the hotel reservations department to confirm your arrangements. At check-in, the front desk will verify your check-out date. Rates quoted are based on check-in date and length of stay. Should you choose to depart early a departure fee will be charged.

The AAS Warns about Housing Pirates

A housing pirate is an unauthorized housing provider that often claims a vague affiliation with a conference and offers reduced rates to attendees. The AAS Executive Office has reserved a block of sleeping rooms only at the Hilton Hawai‘ian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, the Sheraton Waikiki Resort, and the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. Please use the direct links provided or call the hotel directly to ensure your reservation.

Be careful when entering into a financial agreement with any unofficial companies, as their legitimacy and policies may be questionable and AAS staff will not be able to provide a resolution to issues related to such reservations. Frequently Asked Questions

Is it important for me to let the reservations agent know that I'm associated with the AAS meeting?
Yes. AAS receives credit only when registrants tell hotel staff that they are attending the AAS meeting. Please make sure the reservations agent knows you are attending the AAS meeting — whether you or someone else makes your reservation — or make your reservation through the link on the AAS site and it will be handled automatically.
Why does AAS reserve a block of rooms?
AAS reserves a block of rooms to assure the availability of rooms for meeting attendees, especially during the tourist season, when it can be very difficult to find an affordable hotel room. In addition, if AAS didn't reserve a block of rooms, we would be subject to room rental fees and full food and beverage costs, which would greatly increase the cost of holding the meeting.
What is AAS doing to reduce these attrition fees and still keep the meeting affordable?
AAS tracks sleeping room reservations and cancellations at the meeting so that it can more accurately block a number of rooms that will be filled by attendees in the future. However, every discount we receive at a hotel is based on the number of room nights we block, so as we reduce our block, we are consequently paying more for other services at the hotel. Reducing the block means that attendees will either have to pay a higher registration fee or possibly that the level and/or quantity of services and events will be lowered.
