Applications for Faculty positions (Rolling advertisement):

The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) invites applications for faculty positions. Ongoing activities at IIA are in the areas of theoretical astrophysics, sun and solar system objects, exoplanets, stars and stellar systems, time domain astronomy, instrumentation and facility development. The Institute offers challenging opportunities to researchers working in Astronomy, Astrophysics and related fields. Details of the scientific activities and its facilities are available on the Institute’s website (https://www.iiap.res.in/ )

In this announcement, applications are invited in two specific categories (1) Solar astrophysics and (2) Theoretical astrophysics. Applications in other areas relevant to the Institute will also be considered under this special drive. The applicant should have a Ph.D. in the relevant area with a minimum 4 years of post-doctoral experience. The applicants should have a proven record of carrying out independent research programmes, with a good number of publications and academic credentials.
