Job Description
Applicants are invited to apply for a Postdoctoral Associate position working with Professor Dominique Segura-Cox in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Rochester. While experience with observations is preferred, applicants with theoretical or lab backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
The position will entail working with observations of various low-mass star forming regions using available data from various radio/sub-millimeter interferometers including ALMA, VLA, and NOEMA. In particular, broadband data with high spectral resolution data of 32 young and embedded Class 0/I protostars from the PRODIGE NOEMA Large Program will be already calibrated and ready for scientific analysis by the applicant. With over 100 molecular transitions included in the PRODIGE survey, the successful applicant will have a variety of topics to choose from including: kinematically characterizing infall, determining the chemistry of material infalling onto disks on the cusp of planet formation, and exploring outflow-envelope interactions, among other possibilities.
The position is available starting August 1, 2025, with a flexible starting date. The nominal term for this position is 2 years, with a possible extension to 3 years depending on performance. A portion of working hours may be used for personal projects.

The referenced pay range represents the full base range of pay for this job. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
