Recruitment for Postdoctoral Scholar Positions in Radio Astronomy Laboratory, Tsinghua University

The Radio Astronomy Laboratory, Department of Astronomy, Tsinghua University, is inviting applications for several postdoctoral positions in observational radio astronomy and instrumentation. The successful applicants with observational astronomy background, are expected to work on the observation planning, data analysis, and scientific interpretation of experiments with one or all of the following, FAST, JWST, ALMA, VLA, GBT, JCMT, etc. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to lead follow-up studies related to The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) discoveries, especially those from the Commensal Radio Astronomy FAST Survey (CRAFTS http://crafts.bao.ac.cn, e.g. DoI:10.1038/s41586-022-04755-5 and DoI:10.11922/sciencedb.01092).Those with instrumentation background, are expected to work on PAF development and/or THz imager.

The annual compensation ranges from $45,000 to $60,000, contingent upon the qualification and performance. Most applications are expected to be within three years of their PhD completion date. Please consult us otherwise. A travel and research grant will also be provided. The initial contract will be for two years, with the possibility of salary adjustment and extension to a 3rd year.
