Job Description
The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) and Seoul National University invite applications for postdoctoral research associates. These positions carry a maximum duration of four years. An initial one-year contract will be offered, with the possibility of annual renewal based on satisfactory performance. Qualified applicants are those who earned their Ph.D. within the past 7 years (starting date is within 7 years of receiving their Ph.D.) or those who will obtain their Ph.D. before the appointment date. The postdoctoral offices will be mainly on the Seoul campus of Seoul National University.
Candidates with experience or expertise in radio interferometer or very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) are especially encouraged to apply.
Korean applicants must have completed mandatory military service or received an exemption, and must be eligible to travel abroad.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The pay grade will be determined based on experience and performance. An appropriate research fund is available for travel, publication fee, and equipment.
