Job Description
The Waterloo Centre for Astrophysics (WCA) at the University of Waterloo invites applications for two 3-year WCA Postdoctoral Fellowships. Although these positions are open to researchers in any area in astrophysics, we are particularly interested in candidates who will strengthen existing research areas.
The WCA (https://uwaterloo.ca/astrophysics-centre/) consists of 11 research-active faculty, 14 postdoctoral researchers and 40 graduate students. Research is undertaken in areas including cosmology, large-scale structure, gravitational lensing, clusters, galaxies, galactic dynamics, black holes, gravitational wave astronomy, and exo-planets, with membership of a number of ongoing and future experiments including DESI, EHT, Euclid, Roman, Rubin/LSST and UNIONS. The group has a close connection to the Perimeter Institute, which is located just a short walk away.
