Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI), government-funded research institute located in Daejeon, Republic of Korea, invites applicants to a permanent position in the field of space plasma physics. Especially, candidates with research interests in magnetospheric physics (data analysis, modeling and/or instrumentation) are strongly encouraged to apply this position. The nationality of the applicants will not be importantly considered. The successful candidates will join the solar and space weather group where about 30 researchers/students study of solar physics, magnetosphere and ionosphere. KASI supports the successful candidates to extend their original research with various funding programs.
The candidates will be expected to lead or develop a first rate research program in space physics, including interactions with others of all levels within the KASI Space Physics community. In addition, If the successful applicant wants, He/She also can teach graduate course students by the educational program of University of Science and Technology. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The target start date is on or after December 1, 2016.
